Grainger’s Orchard was originally started in the late 1950’s by Herb Grainger. With a few apple trees and lots of dedication, he started what would become one of the last orchard and cider mills in Livingston County. Now owned by his son Jim, we are into the fourth generation of the family to live and work in the orchard. Ours is a simple operation. We grow some 13 different varieties on site. We press our own fresh cider on-site, passing the same state health inspection as your favorite place to dine. We sell unpasturized, preservative free cider. We are open 7 days a week 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer fresh apples and cider daily, with homemade caramel apples on Sundays. Grainger’s Orchard is located on D-19 a.k.a. Pinckney road 1 miles south of exit 137 off I-96. We can also be found Sundays in the Howell Farmers Market.
